R6 mark 2 languages unlock

Hi folks!

I bought an R6_2 in Japan, I want to unlock the international language.
I know some softwares are doing it as in 1 click, but I'm always happy when I understand what I'm doing, and curious about IT.

Therefore, I understood there is one bit to be changed from 0 to 1, but I do not know how to do that.

Can somebody guide a bit on the steps to reach and change this value?

You can switch between Japanese and English even without using Magic Lantern. Give it a try.

It's written in Japanese, but I think you can understand it by looking at the images. You might want to use Google Translate as well.

Do you want to unlock more languages, or do you want to learn how to do this?

For the second question, you would need to understand how to change a "property" of the camera; and, which property to change.  There are multiple possible routes to do this, but I don't think anyone here knows exactly how.  We do understand generally how to alter properties, but not how to do the specific thing you're requesting.

The R6 II is far from being supported by ML, and I don't think this is something we've done before on other cams.  You would probably have to learn how yourself.  I would estimate with very good luck you might be able to work it out in a week.  With normal luck, perhaps two or three months.
